Buford City Commission  May 30, 2023  A special called meeting was held on May 30, 2023 at) Buford City Hall and all  Commission members were present.  Chairman Beard called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2023 Commission meeting as presented by staff.  Motion by Mr. Weeks, seconded by Mr. Burge to approve the agenda for the May 30,  Ayes 3 Nays 0 hearings. Annexations:  Chairman Beard stated that this portion of the meeting would be set aside for public  Plat #674: CIV Friendship Business Park II, LLC requests annexation and zoning for the property located at 4556 Bennett Road, parcel 08-153-000012, containing 5.508 acres from. AR-III tol RA-200. No one spoke against the request. Motion by Mr. Burge,  seconded by Mr. Weeks to approve the request. Motion by Mr. Burge, seconded by Mr. Weeks to authorize City Manager and City Attorney to proceed with eminent domain proceedings to acquire property from Buford Housing Authority for  relocated New Street project.  Ayes 3 Nays 0  Motion by Mr. Burge, seconded by Mr. Weeks to authorize City Manager and City Attorney to proceed with eminent domain proceedings to acquire easements and rights-  of-way for Moreno Street project.  Ayes 3 Nays 0  Motion by Mr. Weeks, seconded by Mr. Burge to authorize Chairman to sign necessary documents to transfer parcels 7301 109 and 7301 058, Sagefield/Oakland Avenue, to the  Buford Downtown Development Authority.
