Minutes- April 2, 2024/1  Town of Clermont April 16, 2024  Special Called Town Council Meeting  The Clermont Town Council met on April 16, 2024, for a Special Called Meeting. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Mayor James Nix, Council Members Amanda Nix, James Castleberry, Seth Weaver, and John Brady. Town Clerk APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: James Castleberry motioned to approve the agenda. Amanda Nix seconded, and all Council Members present voted in favor. Motion passed. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: James Castleberry led the PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING AND ANNEXATION REQUEST: Mayor Nix opened the public hearing at 7:01 on a Rezoning request by Alex Chavez and an Annexation and Rezoning request by Tim and Martha Merritt. The Mayor turned the ORDINANCE 82-2024-01-03 REZONING REQUEST ALEX CHAVEL, 6535 CLEVELANDHWYEThe first item open for public hearing was Alex Chavez's Rezoning request to rezone his property at 6535 Cleveland Highway, tax parcel number 12063000030, from Residential DistrictI(RI) to Agricultural Residential District(AR-IV) Afterl hearing comments from the petitioner, the public, and the Council, the public hearing The Mayor gave the first reading of Ordinance 82-2024-01-01, an ordinance amending the zoning map ofthe Town of Clermont, Georgia, by rezoning all that tract or parcel of land owned by Alex Chavez and being all those lots or parcels of land located in land lots 63, 82, and 83 of the 12th land district of Hall County, Georgia and being Hall County tax parcel number 12063 000030, and being more particularly described on a deed or plat which is attached hereto and, which is incorporated by reference into this ordinance, from Residential DistrictI(R-I) to agricultural Residential District IV (AR-IV) with conditions; repealing conflicting ordinances; to provide for severability; to provide for an effective date; and for other purposes.
