The Carl Junction City Council met in regular session on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: LaDonna, Allen, Rick Flinn, Jim Gozia, Bob McAfee, Roger Spencer, Mike Burns andi Holliel LaVigne. Mark Satterlee was absent. Also present were City Administrator Stevel Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Alaina Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield. Alaina Wright said the employee who helped him set up the service had her notes and the notes do not show we Hollie LaVigne asked how much he was hoping to have waived. Mr. Bliss said he thought thel late fee, the disconnect fee and were given a different mailing address. the second bill should all be waived. Jim Gozia asked ifh he realized he didn't get a water bill and] he said he did not realize that. The consensus of the council was to stick with the policy ofr not refunding disconnect fees. REVIEW AND APPROVE AUDIT REPORT FOR FY2022 LaDonna Allen said thel budget committee met last week with the new auditor, whor reported their findings. Steve Lawver said these were a few amendments to the already existing policy. He said the language had been updated to LaDonna Allen motioned to approve the amended utility policies and procedures. Alaina Wright said it should be done by the end of the month. Hollie LaVigne asked ift there was at time frame in the contract, Steve Lawver and Alaina Wright said they would Steve Lawver said the Center Creek Bank Stabilization project is done and there willl be a change order for a deduct on the Mike Burns asked ift the Center Creek Sewer Crossing project was finished and Steve Lawver said no. Public Works report - Mayor Powers said he got an email from a resident about ap pothole atl Broadway and ZI Highway. Jim Gozia asked ift the 60 water disconnections were at typical number and Steve Lawvers said yes. Bobl McAfee said the disc golfcourse and Center Creek Park looked very nice during the events on September 24.
