The Carl Junction City Council meti ini regular session on' Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark] Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: LaDonna Allen, Rick Flinn, Jim Gozia, Roger Spencer, Mikel Burns and Hollie LaVigne. Bobl McAfee was absent. Alsoj present were City Administrator Stevel Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City Clerk Alaina  Wright and City Administrator. Assistant Crystal Winkfield. APPROVALOF BIDS FOR LIGHTING ATI FRANK DEAN BALLI PARK  Steve Lawver said the previous bid discussed for $70,660 was for the fixtures only, and these bids are to actually repair and replace the lights. There was three bids: Joplin Industrial Electric for $111,826.00, CDLI Electric for $120,055.00, and. J. Vangel Electric for $160,268.00. Steve said Allgeier Martin is recommending thel lowest bid from Joplin Industrial Electric. He said the total work Mike Burns asked what this lighting included and Steve said it would remove the lights in back that weren't necessary. LaDonna Allen asked if the previous bid for thei fixtures had been approved and Steve said no. Rick Flinn asked ifBYAA could still Rick Flinn motioned to approve the bid from Joplin Industrial Electric and the previous discussed bid for fixtures. Mark Satterlee seconded. Hollie LaVigne, Rick Flinn, Roger Spencer, LaDonna Allen, Mike Burns and Mark Satterlee were in favor. Hes said thep payments fore each option will bes semi-annual on a 20 year note. The only differences in the quotes are the all-in rates over time. Steve said Gilmore and Bill will do thep paperwork ifapproved. LaDonna Allen asked1 how much additional revenue we generate annual in the water fund and Stevel Lawver said it is approximately $300,000 per year. LaDonna Allen asked how long it would take to get the funds and Steve said it wouldn't LaDonna Allen motioned to approve Option 2 from Central Bank of the Midwest. Rick Flinn seconded. All in favor.
