Jr. District 4 James Murphy  BRASELTON MAYOR & COUNCIL  Council Meeting Minutes February 12,2023  The Town of Braselton met for its regular meeting on Monday, February 12, 2023.  Mayor Ward called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Council members present were Becky Richardson, Richard Harper,] James Joedecke and James Murphy.  Mayor Ward led the Pledge of Allegiance.  Councilmember Joedecke made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting from January 9, 2023. During Citizen Comment, Jane Range spoke on thei importance of Downtown Development Authorities, the  Councilmember Murphy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.  work they do and who is appointed. Councilmember Joedecke made a motion to approve the. Alcoholic Beverage License Application from Bailey Foods dba Stonewalls BBQ at 6072 Hwy. 53. Councilmember Richardson seconded the motion, Councilmember Joedecke made a motion to table the Alcoholic Beverage License Application from NS Express DBA Circle K #3285 at 1975 Hwy. 211 until the March Council meeting. Councimember Harper Mayor Ward made a motion to table a decision on the Braselton Village Architectural Review for Lowe's Home Improvement Store and send thei request to a committee to be formed by Councilmember Joedecke,  passed unanimously. Councilmember Harper seconded the motion, which passed Councilmember, Joedecke made a motion to table a decision on appointments to the Braselton Downtown Development Authority until the March meeting. Councilmember Harper seconded the motion. Mayor Ward made a motion to amend the motion to appoint Councilmember Joedecke as liaison to the Downtown Development Authority and appoint Councilmember Richardson to the downtown core group. Councilmember Harper seconded the motion. Mayor Ward withdrew the motion to amend and made a motion to amend the motion to name Councilmember Joedecke as liaison to the Downtown Development Authority. Councilmember Murphy seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.    At7 7:25 pm Mayor Ward made a motion to go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel. Councilmember Harper seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.  At7 7:54 pm Councilmember Harper made a motion to exit Executive Session. Councilmember Richardson  seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.  No action was taken based on discussions in Executive Session.  At 7:55 pm, Councimember Richardson made. a motion to adjourn. Councimember Joedecke seconded the  motion, which passed unanimously.
