The Carl Junction City Council met in regular session on' Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 7:001 PM at City Hall. Mayor Mark Powers called the meeting to order with the following present: LaDonna Allen, David Pyle, Roger Spencer, Hollie LaVigne, Walter Hayes, Carole Wofford, Rick Flinn, and Bob McAfee. Also present were City Administrator Steve Lawver, City Attorney Mike Talley, City  Clerk Alaina' Wright and City Administrator Assistant Crystal Winkfield.  AGENDA  Roger Spencer motioned to approve the agenda as presented. LaDonna Allen seconded. All in favor. No opposed. LaDonna Allen asked about the General Fund expenditure for KAB Electric and Steve Lawver said that was for the outdoor basketball court at the Community Center. Hollie LaVigne said she would attend the. June 25th meeting with Steve Lawver. Police Dept. report - Hollie LaVigne asked about the digital ticketing software. Chief! McCall said thes system went livet today. Chief McCall said he has one applicant for sure to be approved at the next council meeting and possibly two to four more applicants Carole Wofford asked how the 201 mph signs went this weekend on Briarbrook! COMMITTEE REPORTS  Budget/Finance: LaDonna Allen said there was a joint meeting earlier with Public Facilities at 6:00 and they have put suggestions for the ARPI Funds which will be presented att thei next council meeting. She also said there has been community discussion of ordering three new Teslas for the police department and they do not spend $500 every two days in fuel and she wanted to make it Public Facilities & Planning: David Pyle said the committee is recommending completing the Veterans Lighting project, 4- Economic Development: Hollie LaVigne said there is al handout to share with businesses with some stats about the town. Hollie LaVigne asked if there were any thoughts of the new CJ logos.
