Mayor Ward called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Council members present were Becky Richardson, Tom Logan and James Murphy. Mayor Ward led the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilmember Murphy made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting from April 8, 2024. Councilmember Logan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. There were no Citizen Comments. Councimember Richardson made a motion to authorize the Mayor to execute the IGA1 for the Jackson County Councilmember Logan made a motion to authorize the Mayor to execute the IGA for the Hall County Councilmember Richardson made a motion to declare surplus for contents left at the Davis Street house. Councimember Murphy made a motion to authorize the Mayor to finalize negotiations of the intergovernmental agreement with, Jackson County and the City of Hoschton, the intergovernmental agreement with the Braselton Public Facilities Authority, and the lease with National Heritage Academies, Inc. (NHA)and further authorization to execute the above-referenced documents and any associated documents in furtherance of the lease of the former West Jackson Primary School tol NHA, subject to approval as toi form by legal counsel. Councilmember Logan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Ward left the meeting. Councilmember Logan made a motion to approve Application # 24-02-CU with conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission with a change to condition 9 that the fence be 8 feet high.
