November16, 2017 Buford City Commission Special Called Meeting 4:30 p.m.  Chairman Beard called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.  Bill Johnston, Stephens, Inc., presented the bond sale summary. Mr. Fricks inquired further about the Motion by Mr. Burge, seconded by Mrs. Smith to adopt the Amended and Restated Bond Ordinance with respect tot the City's General Obligation Bonds, Series 2017A and Series 2017B, as well as the Bond Ordinance with respect to the City's General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2017C, as presented by staff and to authorize Chairman Beard to sign any and all documents necessary to complete the bond  bond sale.  sale. Ayes-3 Nays-0  Motion by Mrs. Pirkle, seconded by Mr. Fricks to adopt the Amended and Restated Bond Ordinance with respect to the City's General Obligation Bonds, Series 2017A and Series 2017B, as well as the Bond Ordinance with respect to the City's General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2017C, as presented by staff fand to authorize Chairman Beard to sign any and all documents necessary to complete the bond  sale. Ayes-4 Nays-0  Motion by Mr. Burge, seconded by Mrs. Smith to authorize City Manager to invest proceeds of the ESPLOST and bond sale at an institution withi the best and highest rate which is compliant with collateral  standards under State law.
