A publicl chearing was opened for this case at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on October, 5, 2021. The Commission and staff discussed the background, purpose, and format of the draft ordinance as well as the Commissioners review comments. General guidance from the Commission was to simplify the ordinance; allow more time for Community Development staff to review and refine a simpler ordinance that can be administered and enforced well; and focus on non-residential property. P&Z tabled the case to their next regular meeting on November 2, 2021. Mayor Pro Tem New commended the Commission for aj job well done in simplifying and focusing on this item. At 6:36 p.m., Mayor Kelson Elam recessed the meeting to Executive Session (closed meeting).
