Municipal Center- 4000 Main St.  As authorized by Section 551.071 oft the Texas Government Code, this meeting may be convened into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda The City of Rowlett reserves the right to reconvene, recess or realign the Regular Session or called Executive  item herein.  Session or order of business at any time prior to adjournment.  Present: Mayor Pro Tem Grubisich, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Sherrill, Councilmember  Margolis, Councilmember Brown and Councilmember Bell  Absent: Councilmember Laning  Mayor Pro Tem Grubisich called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  1.  ACTION ITEMS  1A. Consider action to approve a resolution canvassing the results of the General and Special Election held Saturday, May 7, 2022, for the positions of Mayor, Councilmember Place Two, Councilmember Place Four, Councilmember Place Six and Councimember Place One - unexpired term; and declaring  any applicable runoff for June 18, 2022.  Laura Hallmark, City Secretary, presented the final results of the election.  A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Sherrill, seconded by Councilmember Bell, to approve the item as presented. The motion passed with a unanimous vote of those members  present. This item was approved as RES-049-22.  2.  PRESENTATIONS  2A. Recognition of outgoing Councilmembers Brownie Sherrill, Whitney Laning and Martha Brown.  Mayor Pro Tem Grubisich outlined the accomplishments of the outgoing members and presented a placque denoting their service to the City of Rowlett. Mr. Sherrill and Ms. Brown made personal  remarks. canvass.)  2B. Conduct oaths of office for newly elected Mayor and Councimembers. ("Pending final results of  Associate Judge Rosalind Jeffers conducted the oaths of office for each of the newly elected officials.  City of Rowlett  11220    Each made some personal remarks and then took their seat at the dais.  Blake Margolis, Mayor  Brian Galuardi, Councimember Place 1 Jeff Winget, Councilmember Place 2 Mike Britton, Councimember Place 4 Debra Shinder, Councimember Place 6  TAKE ANY NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE ACTION ON CLOSEDIEXECUTIVE SESSION  MATTERS.
