Rowlett Community Centre-5300 Main St.  As authorized by Section 551.071 oft the Texas Government Code, this meeting may! be convened into closed Executive Session for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda The City of Rowlett reserves the right tor reconvene, recess or realign the Regular Session or called Executive Present: Mayor Margolis, Mayor Pro Tem Grubisich, Councilmember Galuardi, Councilmember  item herein.  Session or order of business at any time prior to adjournment.  Winget, Councilmember Britton, Counciimember Bell, Councilmember Shinder, Commissioner Estevez, Commissioner Williams, Commissioner Swift, Commissioner Segars, Commissioner Cote, Commissioner Egnen and Commissioner Frisbie  Joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council. Mayor Margolis called the Council meeting to order at 5:38 p.m.  Commissioner Estevez called the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order at 5:39 p.m. Ms. Estevez reviewed the functions of the Commission, case activity and what's next for the Commission -1 training, Development Code update and Comprehensive Plan update in 2024. Munal Mauladad, Managing Director of Community! Development and Engineering, reviewed the goals Discussion regarding comparable codes in other cities, the implementation of the revised code, the schedule for the process, relationship of this update to the Comprehensive Plan/Future Land Use Plan, flexibility of plan while maintaining desired development standards, improve impression of working with the City, incorporation of new technology and uses, managing inconsistencies between codes during the update, customers are developers and residents, review of fee schedules, helping to establish an "identity" for the City, ensuring updates don't exclude things that are important for the TAKE ANY NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE ACTION ON CLOSEDIEXECUTIVE SESSION  oft the Development Code update and the schedule established.
