Each month, the Rowlett group gathers on the Rockwall side of Heroes Memorial Bridge to walk in memory of those who have lost their lives and in support of those who are struggling. Beginning this month, the dates and times are changing. The bridge walk will now bel held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 3:30pm, to allow January gth is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. This day was established in 2015to thank and show support to law enforcement officers for their dedication to duty and service to their communities. Conduct a public hearing and take action on a request by Brian Bridgewater, on behalf of property owner Sapphire Bayl Landholdings LLC, regarding a Major Warrant to Article 2.8.6.f.3.i of the Form-Based Code to allow an 8-foot chain link fence with razor wire along the top on property zoned Form-Based Bayside Special (FB-BS) District. The 0.328-acre property is situated southwest oft the intersection of Interstate 30 and East Access Drive, Lot 1R-4, Block B oft the Sapphire Bay Plat, in the City of Rowlett, Dallas County and Rockwall County, Texas. The public hearing opened Ar motion was made by Councilmember Galuardi, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shinder, to approve the change to an 8-foot chain link fence with razor wire for no more than five years and removing the landscape requirement.
