Municipal Center - 4000 Main St. Present: Mayor Margolis, Mayor Pro Tem Winget, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shinder, Councilmember Galuardi, Councilmember Grubisich, Councilmember Britton and Councilmember Bell 1. CALL MEETINGTO ORDER Mayor Margolis called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. 2. PUBLIC COMMENT There were no public comments in person and no Public Input Forms received. 3. ACTION ITEMS 3A. Consider and take action on an ordinance canvassing the returns of a bond election held in the City on May 6, 2023. Laura Hallmark, City Secretary, presented the information for items 3A, 3B and 3C, which A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Winget, seconded by Councimember Bell, to approve an ordinance canvassing the returns of a bond election held in the City on May 6, 2023. The motion passed with a unanimous vote of those members present. This item 3B. Consider and take action on an ordinance canvassing the returns of the Special Charter Amendment Election held Saturday, May 6, 2023, and adopting said amendments to the Charter Ar motion was made by Councilmember Galuardi, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shinder, to approve the ordinance canvassing the results of the Special Charter Amendment Election held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, and adopt the approved amendments. Consider action to approve a resolution canvassing the results of the General Election held Saturday, May 6, 2023, for the positions of Councilmember Place One, Councimember Place included voter tumout and election results. was approved as ORD-015-23. per Texas Local Government Code. approved as ORD-016-23. The motion passed with a unanimous vote of those members present. This item was approved as RES-067-23. 4. PRESENTATIONS 4A. Recognition of outgoing Councilmembers Matt Grubisich and Pamela Bell. Mayor Margolis presented Councilmembers with a plaque in recognition of their service on the City Council. Mr. Grubisich and Ms. Bell made personal remarks. 4B. Conduct oaths of office for newly elected Councimembers. Chief Judge Chris Kilgore conducted the oaths of office for the three elected Councilmembers.
