Mayor Pro Tem Shinder called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. CITIZENS INPUT There were 11 Public Input emails received for this meeting. No citizens spoke during Citizens' Input. 3. Presentation by American Golf Corporation regarding Waterview Golf Course Operations (60 Assistant City Manager Kristoff Bauer made opening comments and introduced Paul Ballam from American Golf Corporation along with King Simmons and Brian Bode. Golf Advisory Board members were present int the audience also. Mr. Ballam presented their goals for Waterview Golf Course; showed the unique challenges with the Course, including numerous main-line breaks; showed the projects completed over the last years as well as projects still in progress; growing participation as well as community participation and events, and talked about the future of Council asked questions and voiced concerns about some of the challenges presented but were Waterview. optimistic about the progress. 3B. Consider Terms of a Purchase and Sale Contract with Habitat for Humanity Greater Garland, Inc, for City Owned Property at 7995 Dalrock Road. (30 minutes) Assistant City Manager Kristoff Bauer presented this item and Rich Buquet, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland, Inc. was available to answer questions from Council. Council approved the sale oft this property to Rowlett Housing Finance Corporation (RHFC)o on May 16, 2023 however it was not closed on at that time. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland, Inc. City of Rowlett 11585 will uset the property for the same purpose as RHFC, to develop affordable veteran! housing. Council was supportive of this item, and it will be placed on the June 4, 2024 Consent Agenda for Council DISCUSS CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS FOR APRIL 16, 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. approval. 4.
