ORDINANCE NO. 2020-01  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TOLAR, TEXAS REPEALING ORDINANCE 2015-05 AND REPLACING IT WITH ORDINANCE 2020-01 WATER FEES; TO INCLUDE WATERISEWER TAP FEES, ROAD BORE FEES, METER SET FEES, TRANSFER OF SERVICE FEES AND WATER CONNECTION FEES AND PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE  NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY  OF TOLAR, TEXAS:  That Ordinance 2015-05 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Tolar, Texas is hereby repealed and  replaced with Ordinance 2020-01 to read as follows: WATER TAP AND METER SETTING CHARGES  A charge shall be made by the City for each tap made to the City's water system as follows:  X4 -inch water tap 1-i inch water tap 1%-ir inch water tap 2-inch water tap 3-inch and larger water tap  $1200.00 $1400.00 $1500.00 $1800.00  $ 1200.00 plus material cost and installation charges  Any taps requiring a road bore will be charged $500.00.  Any taps requiring a road bore that is beyond the abilities of the City of Tolar will be charged the  actual cost charged to the City by an outside contractor.  Any taps requiring excavation of a city street would be charged a $ 250.00 fee to cover road  repairs.    SEWER TAP CHARGES  A charge shall be made by the City for each sewer tap made to the City's sewer system as  follows:  4-i inch sewer tap 6-inch sewer tap  $1200.00  $ 1200 plus manhole installation  In the event that the sewer main is not of sufficient depth to allow for a "gravity feed" service line, a "single residence size" lift station shall be installed next to the building, the cost of the lift station, as well as the installation, is the responsibility of the customer. The customer must furnish a 110-volt electrical outlet, and be responsible for future repair and maintenance of lift  station. METER SET FEE:  For all new connections where the contractor makes all water taps, the City will charge a fee of  $ 100.00 for setting a new meter at each location of service applied for  NEW SERVICE CONNECTION FEE:  When a customer makes application for new service, they will be charged a new service connection fee of $ 35.00 dollars for each application of new service applied for.  TRANSFER OF SERVICE FEE: one location to another.  Customer shall be charged a $ 25.00 fee when services are requested to be transferred from PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TOLAR, TEXAS ON THE FIRST READING, THIS THE 187H DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2020.
