TOLAR CITY COUNCIL MINUTES- - July 27, 2020 - BUDGET WORKSHOP The City of Tolar Council met on July 27, 2020 at 6:26 P.M.  Present:  Terry Johnson, Mayor Sally Grimes Matt Hutsell Chip Foster Craig Davis Kevin From  Absent: None City Staff Present: CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL NEW BUSINESS  Michelle Burdette, City Secretary Derek Malone, Director of Public Works  Meeting was called to order at 3:33 P.M.  Sally Grimes, Matt Hutsell, Chip Foster, Craig Davis, and Kevin From were present  1.) Discuss the proposed 2020-2021 fiscal year budget  Proposed budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 for the general fund and water/wastewater fund were discussed in The 2020-2021 budget was presented to Council that included a 5% COLA. Property taxi income was based on estimation seeing as the city did not have HCAD tax rate sheet as of this date. It was discussed, the TVFD would receive from the General Fund funds for PPE. Budget to be presented in finali form for adoption at the September  detail.  meeting. Council will discuss further at the August meeting.  2.) Discuss the 2020 property tax rate was no further discussion oft the 2020 tax rate  City Secretary informed council that the 2020 tax rates had not been published by HCAD as of this date.
