TOLAR CITY COUNCIL MINUTES = September 02, 2021 - BUDGET WORKSHOP The City of Tolar Council met on September 02, 2021 at 12:00 P.M,  Present:  Terry Johnson, Mayor Matt Hutsell Sally Grimes Chip Foster Brian Gall Kevin Fron  Absent: City Staff Present: CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL NEW BUSINESS  Michelle Burdette, City Secretary Derek Malone, Director of Public' Works  Meeting was called to order at 12:24 P.M.  Matt Hutsell Sally Grimes, Chip Foster, and Brian Gall, were present. Kevin Fron was absent.  1.) Discuss the proposed 2021-2022 fiscal year budget  Proposed budget for the fiscal year 2021-2022 for the general fund and water/wastewater fund were discussed in detail. Property tax income was increased by $11,750.00. This was due to new total city valuation amount  received from HCAD.  2.) Discuss the 2021 property tax rate  The current tax rate is $.0450000 cents per $100 valuation. The rate being discussed is $.0436652 cents per  $100 valuation. ADJOURN Motion carried 4/0.
