Pritam Deshmukh talked about this item and showed ai map. The issue is citizens wanted some sort of protected crosswalk across Hobson at Santa Monica to South Lakes- Eureka Park. Survey data was taken in October oft this year. Background includes Hobson being an arterial street with quite a bit'o of traffic, with approximately 8,000 vehicle trips per day. Itis aj primary connector between FM2181 and FM1830. This location does not warrant a traffic signal. There is currently a crosswalk, but does not have the ADA ramps. Staffrecommends: searching for funding options to install the flashing crosswalk signs. This particular sign would have video detection to automatically start flashing when a pedestrian walks into Commissioner DiMarco asked ifit is the same as McKinney, Deshmukh stated this will be LEDs on the sign and will only blink when there are pedestrians in the zone.
