TOLAR CITY COUNCIL MINUTES- - AUGUST 29, 2019-E BUDGET WORKSHOP  The City of Tolar Council met on August 29, 2019 at 6:26 P.M.  Present:  Terry, Johnson, Mayor Sally Grimes Chip Foster Craig Davis Matt Hutsell Kevin From  Absent: City Staff Present: CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL  Michelle Burdette, City Secretary Derek Malone, Director of Public' Works  Meeting was called to order at 6:15 P.M.  Sally Grimes, Craig Davis, Chip Foster, and Matt Hutsell were present. Kevin From was absent.  NEW BUSINESS  1.) Discuss the proposed 2019-2020 fiscal year budget  Proposed budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020 for the general fund and water/wastewater fund were discussed in The 2019-2019 budget was presented to Council thati included a 5% COLA. Property taxi income was increased by $33,407.00. This was due to new total city valuation amount received from HCAD. Council had no questions and did not see a need to have a second budget workshop. Budget to be presented in final form for adoption at  detail.  the September meeting. 2.) Discuss the 2019 property tax rate  No changes will be made to the current tax rate of. .47 cents per $100 valuation. Motion by Craig Davis, second by Matt Hutsell to adjourn meeting at 7:05F P.M.
