MINUTES HEATH CITYO COUNCIL WORK SESSION  TUESDAY, MARCH 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM  ATTENDING: KELSON: ELAM, MAYOR  JIM CHESTER RICH KRAUSE DONNA ROLATER BRENTWEAVER  ABSENT: PAULRUFFO, MAYOR PROT TEM  Mayor Kelson Elam called to order the Work Session meeting at 3:00] p.m..  Matthew Holzapfel, P.E., Director of Public Works will present a detailed explanation and evaluation of the City of Heath potable water system. This presentation will also include information regarding sources of water supply to the City of Heath from the North' Texas MunicipalWater) District (NTMWD): and the Cityo of Rockwall. Mr. Holzapfel will present suggestions on future activities and initiatives needed to provide the City of Director of Public Works Matt Holzapfel provided aj presentation "Water System Status Report - City Council Workshop" and stated that the purpose oft the workshop was to understand the role of City Council, Citizens and Staff in Setting Policy and Priorities; Introduce Cncepts of Asset Management; Familiarize City Council with Water System Assets; Identify Strengths and Weaknesses of Water System; and open discussion and dialog regarding Water System Strategic Direction and Improvements. Maps were provided the Water System supply chain and water supply from NTMWD and the City of Rockwall and Pump Station locations. The detailed presentation: included the CityofHeath Water System overview; the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)s system; and information regarding meters.
