CITY OF DENTON SUSTAINABILITY FRAMEWORK ADVISORY COMMITTEE  MINUTES September 24, 2021  After determining that a quorum was present, the Sustainability Framework Advisory Committee of the City of Denton, Texas convened in a Regular Meeting on Friday, September 24, 2021, at PRESENT: Chair Keely Briggs, Vice Chair Matthew Fry, and Members Brand Richter, Ed Soph,  1:00 p.m. in the Sustainability Office at 1001 S Mayhill Rd, Denton, Texas.  and Adam Briggle  ABSENT: Member Jordan Fengel  REGULAR MEETING  1. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION A. SFAC21-018 - Consider approval of the July 23, 2021 Minutes.  Member Soph moved to approve the item as presented. Vice Chair Fry seconded the motion.  Motion carried. NAYS (0): None ABSENT (1): Members Fengel  AYES (5): Chair Briggs, Vice Chair Fry, and Members Richter, Soph, and Briggle  B. SFAC21-019 - Receive ai report, hold a discussion, and give recommendations regarding the feasibility of high impact actions and possible strategies to meet Science based GHG reduction  targets.  The item was presented, and possible strategies were suggested for the following:  Grid Decarbonization VMT Reduction EV. Adoption Building Efficiency Building Electrification  C.S SFAC21-020- Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give recommendations regarding the establishment and funding of a Sustainability Framework Fund, annual workplan development,  and planning.  The item was presented, and discussion followed.    Sustainability Framework Advisory Committee Minutes  September 24, 2021 Pagel 2  The Committee had consensus around the following priorities with the first 500 thousand of  funding or six (6): month plan:  Climate Action planning up to 250 thousand Increased scope and equity in Greensense rebates Energy Efficiency Vehicle Miles Traveled reduction Electric Vehicles incentives  Air Quality monitoring (discussed questions to be asked/answered) Environmental Impact, Agriculture landscape, local food production  D.SFAC21-021 - Receive ai report, hold a discussion, and adopt an annual meeting schedule.  The item was presented, and discussion followed.  Committee consensus was to continue to have the meetings on the fourth (4th) Friday oft the E.SFAC21- 022 - Draw straws to determine which three (3) member shall receive an initial  month.  term ofone (1): year in order to stagger terms. The item was presented, and discussion followed.  Member Soph moved toj postpone the Drawing of Straws for the terms until all members and seats were filled. Member Richter seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
