Discussed and approved the interlocal agreement with the San Saba Sheriffs office and approved thet terms of agreement with officers hired by the city. Discussed and approved the ordinance establishing speed limits on all city streets and: school zone speed limits on specific streets. Motion to approve made by 7:40pm 11. We discussed and approved ordinance 2022-7 establishing the location of school zones on streets around school. Amended to show zone will be enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Motion to approve made by Franky Soto, 2nd by Aaron 7:43pm 12. We discussed and approved choosing a credit card company' for the city, in order to accept card payments for utilities. We discussed setting up a city website and putting alli information as required by state to be available and to accept online bill pay. Discussed accredited companies. Chose Revise, based on government standards. Motion to approve made by 7:56pm 14. We discussed needing an auditor for the city. Discussed when audits are scheduled, two would be required next year. Most local auditor retired, still looking at available choices in area. Tabling discussion to wait til closer date to choose next year. 8:02pm 15. We discussed the city water department's drought contingency plan and took action as necessary. We have been monitoring levels weekly for changes. Decided council needs to meet in order to set stages as necessary when needed, no matter date, special meeting will be set. Motion made that upon the recommendation oft the city's water operator, the council willi take immediate action via special meeting if drought restrictions need to bet taken. Community has to do electrical repairs as needed because no company' will claim pole. Willl be $2000 to repair. Fundraising inj progress. Becomes community issue. Decided to ask Church of Christ, First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, and Shiloh Church, if they along with city, would form committee to maintain the Tabernacle as needed. Mayor will reach out to various church members to find possible committee members. City will initiate forming a Community' Tabernacle Committee with a city representative, allowing each group to choose a representative for decision making, to Jessica Scales, 2nd by Larry Crump, passed by unanimous vote. Mayor reports: increase in October Insurance advised city property values going up 15% next year, rates will Debris at tractor shed, adjuster states will need to be completely replaced, cannot be reused. Will looki into getting it removed and scrapped by local demo. Two options, Hector Martinez and Brandon Byers, will contact both for best Siren: Oncor states no pole can be provided but they may be able to make donation. Donation, should it be received, willl be used by city to pay portion of price. Will continue with process ofi fundraising via committee. Larry Crump donated 500 gallon fuel tank for city storage.
