MINUTES CITY OFI DENTON PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE September 4, 2020  After determining that a quorum was present, the Public Art Committee convened on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 3:07 p.m., in the City Council Work Session Room at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas, 76201. PRESENT: Monet Franklin (Chair), Alicia Eggert, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, Ed Steele, and Georgina Ngozi (ex-  officio)  ABSENT: Michelle Lynn (Vice Chair), Nic Bagherpour, Meredith Buie, Jodi Ismert  STAFF PRESENT: Jessica Rogers, Gary Packan, John' Whitmore, Drew Huffman, Autumn Natalie, Eddie Valdez, and Note: Monet Franklin (Chair), Alicia Eggert, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, Ed Steele, and Georgina Ngozi (ex- officio) participated in the meeting via video/teleconference under the provisions allowed by the Texas The posted agenda noted the registration process for public participation at this virtual meeting. PAC20-034 Consider approval of the minutes of August 7, 2020.  Nichelson made ar motion to approve the minutes of August t7,2020. Steele seconded the motion. Motion  carried (5-0). NAYS (0): None  AYES (5): Eggert, Franklin, Nichelson, Nobles, Steele ABSENT (4): Bagherpour, Buie, Ismert, Lynn following Public Art Committee projects: 1. North Lakes Dog! Park 2. G. Roland' Vela Athletic Complex 3. Tennis Center 4. Fire! Station No.3 5. Foundations of Our History mural  B. PAC20-035 Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the status of the  1    6.1 MLK, Jr. Recreation Center Sculpture  7. Denton Women's Interracial Fellowship Monument Project  Rogers, Packan, and Huffman presented the item. The PAC discussed the projects. Thet following action took Eggert made a motion to approve the allocation of an additional $1,025 to cover the Union Pacific Railroad administrative review feet fort the Foundations of Our History Mural. Franklin seconded the motion. Motion  place:  carried (5-0). NAYS (0): None  AYES (5): Eggert, Franklin, Nichelson, Nobles, Steele ABSENT (4): Bagherpour, Buie, Ismert, Lynn  PAC20-036 Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the meeting dates and  times for regular meetings of the Public Art Committee. Rogers presented the item. Discussion followed. No action was taken.  D. PAC20-037 Staff Reports:  1. Update on staff and departments providing administrative support tot the Public Art committee.  2. Update on October 1, 2020 Public Art Committee meeting Rogers presented thei item.
