McKinney Street, Denton, Texas. Present: Chair Monet Franklin, Vice Chair Michelle. Lynn, and Members Alicial Eggert, Meredith Buie, Jodi Ismert, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, Ed Steele, and Georgina Ngozi (Ex-Officio). Staff Present: Gary Packan, Director; Drew Huffman, Assistant Director; Heather Gray, Interim  Absent: Nic Bagherpour (Excused). Guest Speaker: Linnie McAdams  Assistant Director; and. John Whitmore, Parks Program Area Manager.  Note: Chair Monet Franklin, Vice Chair Michelle Lynn, and Members Nic Bagherpour, Meredith Buie, Alicia Eggert, Jodi Ismert, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, Ed Steele, and Georgina Ngozi (Ex-Officio) will be participating in the meeting via Video/eleconference.  Chair Franklin called the meeting to order at 12:03 PM 1. PRESENTATION FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC  McAdams presented the history of Denton Women's Interracial Fellowship (DWIF) and consideration of the geographic placement oft the Public Art project proposal honoring DWIF.  2. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION  A. Consider approval of the minutes of September 4, 2020. This item was briefly discussed but no vote was taken. following Public Art Committee projects: 1.N North Lakes Dog Park 2. G. Roland Vela Athletic Complex 3. Tennis Center 4. Fire Station No.3 5.1 Foundations of Our History mural 6.1 MLK, Jr. Recreation Center Sculpture The item was presented, and discussion followed.  B. Roland Vela Athletic Complex sculpture design proposal as AYES (8): Chair Monet Franklin, Vice Chair Michelle Lynn, and Members Alicia Eggert,  Meredith Buie, Jodi Ismert, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, and Ed Steele.  NAYS (0): None.  G.Roland Vela Athletic Complex Contract Discussion and adoption approximately 1:17pm) Steele moved to adopt the G. Roland Vela Athletic Complex sculpture design contract as AYES (7): Chair Monet Franklin, Vice Chair Michelle Lynn, and Members Alicia Eggert,  presented and Franklin seconded. Motion carried.  Meredith Buie, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, and Ed Steele.  NAYS (0): None.  .R Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding al Public. Art tartist and project proposal honoring the Denton Women's Interracial Fellowship (DWIF) to  bel located in the Original Denton District. The item was presented, and discussion followed. Ismert left the meeting at approximately 1 pm. DWIF Public Art Design Proposal Franklin seconded. Motion carried.  Following discussion, Steel moved to adopt the Public Art design proposal as presented and AYES (7): Chair Monet Franklin, Vice Chair Michelle Lynn, and Members Alicia Eggert,  Meredith Buie, Fred Nichelson, Terry Nobles, and Ed Steele. DWIF Public Art- Industrial Street Park Location presented and Franklin seconded. Motion carried. Nichelson, Terry Nobles, and Ed Steele. NAYS(1): Chair Monet Franklin Nic Noblique sculpture(s). Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff input regarding a mural planned by  the Denton Holiday Lighting Association at 227 West Oak, Denton.
