Agricultural District. The Site Plan proposes an additional 42,751 square: feet ofbuilding space and associated sitei improvements. (Rockwall CADID. 12653) Community Development Director, Aaron Adel, provided background information, stating Rockwall Independent School District is moving the sixth grade classes out of elementary to middle school level to: increase capacity: for the lower levels at the elementary campuses. Thisi is requiring them to build a new middle school and also modifying the current middle school. They will be adding approximately 42,000 square feet to the existing Cain Middle School. This will require new parking areas as well. This will be a 40% expansion oft the existing square footage. The total building square footage after the addition willl be approximately 188,000. RISD will be adding 1.51 parking spaces per classroom and there will be 55 classrooms, which will require 83 spaces, but the site plan notes 263. This additional parking isi for the activities that take place on1 the campuses. The architecture and exterior material are remaining consistent to what is existing. The intend to add 121 trees, 89 shrubs, sod, hydro mulch, boulders and river rock. The feature is nine feet sixi inches (9' 6")tall and 181 feet 3 inches (18'3") wide Community Development Director, Aaron Adel, provided background information stating that earlier ini the year City Council approved the Planned Development Zoning Ordinance and plats for the Chapel View subdivision, which will consist of 16: residential lots. The applicant plans tol build an entry feature. Applicant has applied for aj permit. The entry feature will be completed contained in a common lot. The HOA will be responsible: for maintaining the: feature and all landscaping. The total height ofi the tallest tower element will be 9' 6" and the width of 18'.
