CITY COUNCIL MINUTES REGULAR MEETING KERRRVILLE, TEXAS AUGUST 08, 2023 6:00 PM On August 08, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., Mayor Judy Eychner called the Kerrville City Council meeting to order in City Hall Council Chambers, 701 Main Street. Councilmember Joe Herring, Jr. provided the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDINANCES, FIRST READING: 5A. Ordinance No. 2023-12. An Ordinance amending Chapter 60 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Kerrville, Texas, such chapter more commonly known as the City's Zoning Code; amending said code to revise regulations regarding the permitted location ofa accessory buildings and structures within the front setback, as applicable to fences; and providing other matters relating to the subject. Ordinance No. 2023-23, second reading. An Ordinance amending Chapter 26' Buildings and Building Regulations", Article IX "Building Board of Adjustment and Appeals" oft the Code of Ordinances, City of Kerrville, Texas; by amending requirements applicable to alternate members, making consistent the number of board members, amending the meeting schedule, and revising the requirement for a quorum; containing a cumulative clause; containing a savings and severability clause; establishing an effective date; and providing other matters related to the subject. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: 8A. Resolution No. 25-2023. A Resolution setting forth the Ad Valorem (property) tax rate tob be considered for adoption for the 2023 tax year; said rate to be $0.5595 per $100 of assessed value; and calling a public hearing prior to the adoption of the tax rate and the Fiscal Year 2024 budget.
