City of Denton Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Board  Minutes December 6, 2021  After determining that a quorum of the City of Denton, Texas, Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Board was present, the Board convened in a Regular Meeting on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Civic Center Community Room at 321 E. McKinney Street, Present: Chair Alana Presley Taylor, Vice Chair George Ferrie, and Members, Kwami Koto,  Denton, Texas.  James Gordon Emerich, and Frances Punch Absent: Member. Jerry Dooley  PRESENTATIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE: PUBLIC  2.ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION  A. PRB21-103 Consider approval oft the minutes of November 1, 2021.  Vice Chair Ferrie moved to adopt the item as presented; Member Punch seconded. Motion AYES (5): Chair Presley Taylor, Vice Chair Ferrie, Members Koto, Punch, and Emerich  carried.  NAYS (0): None ABSENT (1): Member Dooley  B. PRB21-109: Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staffi input regarding the Parks,  Recreation and Trails System Master Plan update. The item was presented, and discussion followed.  Following discussion, staff was provided the following direction:  Add objective to Goal 2: Park System. Amenities to add shade to aquatics facilities Add objective to Goal 3: Programming and Events to expand hours of operation to Add section to master plan document to define sustainability and practices that align E PRB21-104: Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the  accommodate more families  with National Parks and Recreation Association standards Southwest Park Master Plan for the City of Denton park system. PRB21-105: Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the Development Agreement between the City of Denton and Forestar (USA) Real Estate Group Inc., for the purpose of accepting approximately 43.3 acres ofland for public park  use.  The item was presented, and discussion followed. presented; Member Emerich seconded. Motion carried.  Following discussion, Vice Chair Ferrie moved to approve the development agreement as AYES (5): Chair Presley Taylor, Vice Chair Ferrie, Members Koto, Punch, and Emerich  NAYS (0): None ABSENT (1): Member Dooley  E. PRB21-106: Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the  Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Transition Plan. The item was presented, and discussion followed.  Following discussion, Member Punch moved to adopt the plan as presented; Vice Chair Ferrie AYES (5): Chair Presley Taylor, Vice Chair Ferrie, Members Koto, Punch, and Emerich  seconded.
