Johnl has 38 years ofs service with the City of Ingleside in which he responded to calls at all hours oft the night and on weekends. Martha Habluetzel, 3508 Main, addressed the Council about the building that the Garden Club utilized. She explained to the Council that the Garden Club would like the new building across from the. Junior High School and would like the building larger than what has previously been presented. She explained that the Club would be willing to give speak. suggestions tol help with the design oft the new building. City ofl Ingleside monthly financials as of April 30, 2023. Staff Comments and Reports A. Ingleside Pet ofthe Week Paul Bean, 2771 Glenwood Drive, addressed the Council about the amount of expected ad valorem taxes and what the effective tax rate would be. He stated that on Page B1 of the financial report reflects current earnings for the year-to-date physical year whichl he assumed was six months and wanted tol know ifthei interest May 23, 2023, Regular City Council Minutes Page 1of8 450 rates would be doublet that amount for thet twelve months. Also askingi ifthe amount ofinterest isI reflected in thel budget that is expected tol be approved. D. City of] Ingleside expenditures paid over $3,000.00 for the period of April 17, E. Proposed Fiscal Year 2024, FY24, Budget Calendar to adopt the FY241 Budget City Manager Lewis stated that this is al living document and the budget calendar will be changed as we go through workshops. Finance Director Vela addressed the Council and stated that there would be a change ini the calendar for the Department Head Meeting which would be. June 12, 2023 through June 16, 2023. F. Update on the status of the lights and sidewalk requested for the area on Highway 361 West of Main Street and the intersection of Highway 361 and Infrastructure Director Paredez stated that staff had been in contact with TxDot. Onej problem is therei is a drainage channel where a sidewalki is wanted. G. Update on status of the Ingleside Drainage Master Plan being performed by City Manager Lewis addressed the Council regarding the presented report from Freese &1 Nichols stating that due to delays and turnover the projected completion date has been pushed out one year. It was discussed to keep Freese & Nichols informed on all drainage projects being completed by Hanson for updating the H. Update on status of the streets scheduled for repair and maintenance as authorized at the January 31, 2023 Special City Council Meeting. City Manager Lewis addressed the Council regarding the Street Committee Group meeting on January 13, 2023. At this meeting a list of streets was selected for repairs andt the types of repairs needed. It was stated that the County Engineer was 2023 through May 15, 2023. and the 2023 Tax Rate. Avenue. J. Freese & Nichols. Master Drainage Plan. the one who calculated the tonnage needed for repairs. - Update on status oft the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Infrastructure Director Paredez addressed the Council regarding a permit application being submitted for review with an expected approval by. June 2024.It was stated that TCEQI musth be approved before moving forward andt this being State mandated. J. Update on status of the 4th Street Project. Infrastructure Director Paredez addressed the Council regarding the 4th Street Project stating that it was close to completion with only cosmetics to finish and being six months ahead ofs schedule. It was noted thati itl has already started moving water away and core sample testing for compaction passed at every stage and under budget. 7.
