Council Member Ty Hancock led the prayer.  Prayer  Pledge to the Flags Texas Flag.  Mayor James Stroud led the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag and the Pledge to the  Item #I Public Comment-none  Item #2 Discuss and act upon appointing a City ofl Dalhart Council Member to fill the vacancy- Council Member for Ward 1Ty Hancock made a motion to elect Roger Fleming to Council. Member Ward 1. Gary Messer seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. Item #3 Swear in Cityo ofl Dalhart Council Member for Ward Roger Fleming was sworn in as Item #+ Discussion and appoint The CityofDalhart Christmas Committee Ty Hancock leda a discussion about decorating downtown during the Christmas season, including aj possible large tree. A committee ofl Dennis Rojas, Ty Hancock and Roger Flemming was formed. There was more discussion about working with other groups such as the Dalhart Area Chamber of  Council Member Ward 1.  Commerce to make this project successful.    Council Minutes 06-17-2024  Item #5 CityAttorney, Bryan Guymon will provide Best Practice and the Texas Open Meetings Act training. City Attorney Bryan Guymon provided Texas Open Meetings Act training along With no: more business, Ty Hancock motioned to adjourn the meeting.
