Benbrook MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BENBROOK CITY COUNCIL THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024 The regular meeting of the Benbrook City Council was held on January 4, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers with the following Council members present: Dr. Larry Marshall, Mayor Pro-Tem Renee Franklin Dustin Phillips Gary Addison Laura Mackey Keith Tiner Also Present: Andy' Wayman, City Manager Jim Hinderaker, Assistant City Manager Joanna King, City Secretary Beth Fischer, Deputy City Secretary Bennett Howell, Public Services Director Others: Pastor Lynn Bullock Josh Harville Daniel Bennett and three other citizens I. V. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER A. GENERAL G-2642 Adopt Ordinance regarding Plat Application Checklists and Engineering Plan Review Jim Hinderaker gave the following report: During the 88th Texas Legislative Session, House Bill 3699 was signed into law by Governor Abbott requiring municipalities to: 1) adopt and make available to the public a complete, written list of all documentation and other information that the municipality requires to be submitted with a plat application, and 2) separate the plat application submittal and review process from the engineering plans submittal and review process. The proposed ordinance adopts the City's existing plat application checklists, which may be administratively amended from time to time to conform with applicable State Law. The checklists are published on the City's website. The proposed ordinance further requires all engineering plans tol be submitted and approved by the city engineer prior to the submission of the plat application. Motion by Mr. Phillips, seconded by Ms. Mackey to adopt Ordinance No. 1497 regarding Plat Application Checklists and Engineering Plan Review.
