Minutes of the Arlington Special City Council Meeting  Council Chambers 110 East 3rd Street Wednesday, January 24, 2024  Councilmembers Present: Rob Toyer, Yvonne Gallardo-Van Ornam, Michele Blythe, and  Debora Nelson and Heather Logan, who joined with Zoom. Council Members Absent: Jan Schuette, excused. Peiffle, and Wendy Van Der Meersche.  Staff Present: Mayor Don Vanney, Paul Ellis, Sarah Lopez, Bryan Terry, City Attorney Steve Also Known to be Present: Randy Nobach, Kelli Roark, Tim Abrahamson, Leisha Nobach, Mayor Vanney called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance and roll Afterdrawing numbers forinterview order, applicants were called to the podium one at time  Dwan Kinney, Paul Nieten, Taral McIntosh, and Heather Watland.  call followed.  to answer a series of questions from Mayor Vanney and City Council.  EXECUTIVES SESSION  City Attorney announced the need for an executive session to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment to elective office as authorized by RCW 42.30.110(1)Ch) City Council was dismissed at 6:47 p.m., and went into an executive session at 6:50 p.m., and Mayor Vanney announced that the Council would consider any motion to fill the City Council  reconvened at 7:20 p.m.  vacancy at the regular Council meeting Monday, February 5.
