REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER G-2649 Accept finance report for period ending February 29, 2024 Rick Overgaard gave the following report: General Fund revenues for the month of February, the fifth month of the fiscal year, were $3,172,134. Major revenues collected for the month include Property taxes of $2,329,838, Franchise taxes of $96,341, Permits of $29,462, Fines and Forfeitures of $51,086, Charges for Services of $105,881, Other Agencies of $78,171, and Interest of $107,896. Sales tax collected and recognized as revenue in February was $308,527. Fiscal year to date sales tax is $2,074,672, an increase of 16.4% over last year at this time. General Fund revenues collected through the end of February were $19,226,006 and 78.4% of General Fund expenditures for the month of February were $1,467,569. Fiscal year to date expenditures were $8,774,596 and 35.8% of the adopted budget. Fiscal year to date expenditures increased compared to last year because EMS salaries were reimbursed from the Total General Fund revenues of $19,226,006 were more than total General Fund expenditures Debt Service revenues for the month of February totaled $172,795 and were all from property tax. There were no expenditures in February. The next debt service payments are due August EDC revenues for February were $172,718. EDC expenditures for February were $37,349. Revenues received for February were $125,781 from stormwater utility fees, mineral lease revenue, and interest earnings. Expenditures for the Capital Projects Fund were $1,837 for February. February expenditures included the Cedar Creek and Timbercreek Drainage projects. Expenditures exceeded revenues by $123,944. Sufficient funds are available in the current fund balances of the Capital Projects Fund. G-2650 Accept Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for fiscal year ending September 30, 2023 Rick Overgaard gave the following report: As required by Chapter 103 of the Texas Local Government Code, an independent audit of the City's accounts and records has been made by the certified public accounting firm of BrooksWatson & Co. for the fiscal year ending September The audited financial statements or Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), which include the auditor's unmodified or "clean" opinion on pages 1 -4 of the ACFR is submitted for 30, 2023. The total governmental bonds payable at the close of the fiscal year was $21,715,000. The Benbrook Community YMCA will be hosting the Bunny Trail at the YMCA on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dr. Marshall informed citizens that the Blue Angels are returning to the area as part of the Wings Over Cowtown air show at NAS JRB Fort Worth on April 13 and 14, 2024.
