Benbrook  MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BENBROOK CITY COUNCIL THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024  The regular meeting of the Benbrook City Council was held on June 6, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in  the Council Chambers with the following Council members present:  Jason Ward, Mayor Renee Franklin Larry Marshall Dustin Phillips Gary Addison Laura Mackey  Also Present:  Andy Wayman, City Manager Jim Hinderaker, Assistant City Manager Joanna King, City Secretary Beth Fischer, Deputy City Secretary Cecilia Ventura, Management Analyst Reverend Fr. Kenneth M. Bolin Tammy Currie, Girl Scout Leader Members of Girl Scout Troop 2504 Carla Garcia Jordan Harper Riley DeSantis Sophia Julien Michael Barber Dan Tully and several other citizens  Others:  .  CALL TO ORDER  Meeting called to order at 7:30 p. m. by Mayor Ward. NVOCATIONPLEDGE OF ALEGIANCE  II.  Invocation was given by Reverend Fr. Kenneth M. Bolin with St. Thomas Becket  Catholic Church. Approve minutes of the regular meeting held May 16, 2024  Motion by Dr. Marshall, seconded by Mr. Phillips to approve the minutes of the  regular meeting held May 16, 2024. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER  G-2656  Approve Interlocal Agreement with Fort Worth Transportation Authority to provide transportation for residents aged 65 or older  and residents with disabilities  Cecilia Ventura gave the following report: The City of Benbrook contracts with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (Trinity Metro) to provide transit service to The program provides transit service to residents aged 65 or older and residents with disabilities, at a subsidized fare of $2.50 per one-way trip. The City's cost to participate in the program is $7,529, and funds are budgeted annually for this Qualified residents may use the transit service for a variety of purposes, including medical appointments, shopping, recreation, school or work, excluding weekends and holidays. Benbrook residents are guaranteed rides on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the remaining days, rides are available subject to priority requests from other cities on a first-come basis.
