KIT CARSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES APRIL 20, 2022 The Kit Carson County Board of County Commissioners meeting began in Work Session at 8:00 AM. Those present were Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Lynsay Cormack, Susan Corliss. In-Person Schedule 8:00 AM- - Work Session 8:30 AM-I Darcy Janssen - EPR - Concerns Information on the Salamander System that the Health Care Collation placed in Kit Carson County for the regional accessibility. The equipment needs to be added to the county insurance. It was agreed that the equipment should be placed in the Ambulance Building's classroom for easy access. There is al Rapid Tag unit that is mobile that would be used in the case ofa an emergency. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 9:25. AMI by Stan! He has more. information about the process for the wind blade project; he will contact Chris Dobler and have him begin the land use permitting process. 12:00 PM-Lunch The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:05 PM: rèturning at 1:00 PM. 1:001 PM-Dr. Lindsey Shirley Deputy Director for CSU Community Needs Assessment Discussion Members of CSU Extension were present to explain the Community Needs Assement and how money will be available for rural Extension servies. Scott Stinnett, Kit Carson County CSU Extension Agent, reviewed the programs that are already being done in the county. Dennis Kaan, CSU Extension Regional Director, shared that the region is under restructure. There will be five regions that match the CCI regions. The Eastern Region will have 10 counties that include the Golden Plains Area of Kit Carson, Yuma, Washington, Phillips, and Sedgwick plus Logan, Morgan, Elbert, Lincoln, and Cheyenne. The motion passed by unanimous vote by Stan Hitchcock. Heather was unable to attend the meeting. Ashley toured the Incident Command Center (ICC) that is being create in Limon. Work has started on changing KC13 into a mobile ICC. It was decided that the hazmat trailers would not work for this purpose oft the mobile ICC. Susan Corliss and Ashley will look at the trailer to see ifit will meet the Elections Security Plan in the event that VSPC would have to relocate in an emergency. Discussion was held on the Salamander Unit's location; it will be returned to Ambulance Building classroom. The agreement/iability letter will be sent back tol have the chairman oft the BOCC sign. 1.
