KIT CARSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES JULY 13, 2022 The Kit Carson County Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00 AM. Those present were Stan Hitchcock, Susan Corliss, Dave Hornung. Cory Wall and Lynsay Cormack were absent. In-Person Schedule - Commissioners Board Room 8:00. Buck- Updates AI report was given on: recent topics in Washington, D.C. Congressman Ken Buck put out as statement that Roe VS Wade was the right decision. He is against the proposed changes by a resolution about Title 9 that would be pushing gender identity course in schools. HR7910 - Protect Our Children does not deal with just the title and he opposes this bill. Darlene attended the recent Veterans listening tour and is going to contact Glen about upcoming meetings. Colorado Cattlemen's Association conference in Colorado Springs had a speaker on the Farm Bill that would like to see a flat bill (introduce and pass as it is now), which would not allow additional items added to the bill. It does not look like it will be introduced until after the 2024 election. The US House will be on break during the month of August. Darlene would like to show co-workers from Washington DC what farming life is like on the plains on August 16th. 10:30.
