January 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., the Yuma County Board of Commissioners met fora a special meeting. Chairman Scott Weaver, Commissioner Mike Leerar, Commissioner Adam Gates and Administrator Brandi Ritchey were present  throughout the meeting.  Yuma County Water Authority Public Improvement District  At 10:00 a.m. the Commissioners adjourned and convened as the Yuma County Water Authority Public Improvement District Board. Minutes for the Yuma County Water Authority Public Improvement District are kept The Commissioners adjourned from Yuma County Water Authority Public Improvement District at 10:30am and  separately.  Convened at the Yuma County Board of Commissioners.  2023 Budget Hearing  At1 10:30a a.m., Chairman Weaver opened the hearing to accept public comment on the proposed 2024 budgets for Yuma County, Yuma County Landfill, Yuma County Water Authority, and the Yuma County Water Authority Public Improvement District. The Commissioners reviewed the budget documents. No member of the public was present to make comments. The hearing was closed at approximately 10:45a.m. Commissioner Gates moved to approve the 2024 Yuma County Budget, the 2024 Yuma County Landfill Budget, and the 2024 Yuma County Water Authority Budget as presented. Commissioner Leerar seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Leerar moved to approve_ Resolution 01-09-2024 A to adopt the 2024 budget which summarizes expenditures and revenues for each fund and adopts al budget for the County of Yuma, Colorado, for the calendar year, beginning thei first day of January 2024 and ending on the last day of December 2024. Total Expenditures approved $22,185,572.56. Commissioner Gates seconded the motion, Commissioner Gates moved to approve Resolution 01-09-2024 B which appropriates sums of money to the various' Yuma County funds and spending agencies for the 2024 budget year.
