Jeff Cure- County Attorney Kelly Alvarez asked about the new Land Use rates effective date. The new: rates will be for all permits beginning this year. There has been an inquiry ifa new permit is required for an existing commercial ground that may have a temporary asphalt plant. It would be a change The Land Use Code update will bej presented to the Planning Commission in February for approval. Applications will begin receiving a signed permit certificate instead ofjust the signed applications. Annex; they will: need to shut the power down fora anl hour. GOCO has changed; projects need to come from the people. He needs to add an auxiliary battery to his pickup for using the snowplow; going to talk to District 1. Bids are being worked on for the speakers in the grandstands, lights for the track, and a few other projects. Panels have been ordered for the pig, sheep, and cattle barns toi improve power and GFI breakers. 2:00 PM- Brandon Beechley = Engineer & Landfill Updates Presented a Proposal for Design and Permitting Services for a new disposal cell design and preparation ofa new Engineering Design Operation Plan. The current cell will work the next 10-15 years. The engineer thinks that another cell could be made on the existing ground to extend the life of the landfill to 30 -40 years. A survey will need to. be completed to determine the exact boundary line between the City of Burlington and the landfill property. The board approved to proceed with the Proposal for Design and Permitting Services from American Environmental Consulting, LLC. 3:00 PM - Shawn Franz-Dispatch Update Annual contracts and invoices are coming in. A switch that needs to replace for the Motorola console; the State is going to loan Kit Carson County one that will be installed as soon as possible. BUSINESS MEETING: 3:29 PM 1. The cost of the project is estimated at $24,588.00. The annual fee for the Compass Eclipse Research System will be $1,927 starting the second year.
