KIT CARSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES MARCH 29, 2023 The Kit Carson County Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00 AM. Those present were Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Susan Corliss, and Theresa Korbelik. In-Person Schedule - Commissioners Board Room 8:00. AM - Work Session Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge ofAllegiance Hitchcock, Collin Koop, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan Corliss. 9:30 am Collin Koop - Buildings & Grounds The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 9:47 AM by Dave Hornung, Cory Wall, Stan Reports were given on proposed projects. Additional concrete for the interior of the Farm Credit ofSouthern Colorado Show. Pavilion and the Annex parking lot received bids; the project will not be scheduled at this time SO the bids were not revealed. There is a need for additional goat panels; material costs and a quote are being worked on. Sound System - Grandstands, Arena, & FCSC Show Pavilion and Farm Credit of Southern Colorado Show Pavilion. Kinnon Entertainment $81,505.77 Equalized Productions- $122,706.65 Bids were received for the installation of a new sound system for the grandstands, arena, Dave Hornung moved to award the Fairgrounds Sound System Project to Kinnon Entertainment to be completed before the 2023 Kit Carson County Fair and Pro Rodeo, seconded by Stan Hitchcock. FCSC Show Pavilion Bathroom Bids Bid specs werer made available fort the additionofbathroms toi thel Farm CreditofSouthern Colorado Show Pavilion on February 28th. The county staff will install the fixtures and stalls with an estimated cost of$10,000.00; additional quotes for the materials were requested. Hitchcock, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan 1:001 PM-Todd Holmes IT - mounts for Sheriff Cruiser's For several months, there have been four laptops ordered from DHE that have not been delivered or any update. Mounting cradles will be needed to install these units into the patrol vehicles. Discussion was held on whether to order them from DHE. It was decided to contact DHE about thel ETA oflaptops before ordering the cradles. Ifthere is not an ETA, another order with a different vendor may be necessary because the patrol vehicles are needing them. Updates on adding the past Commissioners' Minutes to the webpage were given. The online ticket sales company used last year is no longer in business; Cory will look into other vendors. The credit card scanner that will allow the customer to swipe/scan their own credit card was approved to order. 2:00 PM- Shawn Franz Communication Center- New Hire The Board of County Commissioners gave approval to continue with the hiring process of anew applicant. BUSINESS MEETING: 3:03 PM Commissioner Dave Hornung returned to the meeting at 3:001 PM 1. Review and Approve Consent Agenda Items 1.A. Approve minutes for the March 22-E BOCC, Payroll, and Accounts Payable Dave Hornung moved to approve the March 22nd minutes for Board of County Commissioners, to pay the Accounts Payable in the amount of $201,702.25, and Payroll in the amount of $382,160.91, seconded by Stan Hitchcock. New Items 2.A Fair Entertainment Contract & Addendum Review The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the contract and addendum with Aaron Watson to provide the Saturday night concert following the rodeo on Saturday,July Stan Hitchcock moved to authorize signing the Aaron Watson contract and contract addendum for the 2023 Kit Carson County Fair and Pro. Rodeo concert, seconded by Dave 29,2023. Hornung.
