KIT CARSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES APRIL 19, 2023 The Kit Carson County Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00 AM. Those present were Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Chris Haas, Kelly Alvarez, Susan Corliss, and Theresa Korbelik. Chris Haas reviewed the project progress; noting that he will schedule a monthly update meeting. Kelly Alvarez explained the process for this type of building site: Subdivision Exemption, then Dave Hornung moved to approve Subdivision Exemption Permit #23- 001 for Bronco Plains Wind II, LLC Operations & Management Building located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 12 Township 9S Range 51W consisting of 2 acres more or less, seconded by Stan al Land Use Change to Commercial, and then septic application. AM- Collin Koop Grounds & Buildings Bids were presented for the concrete pad for the Public Health mobile unit carport but the board felt that the project should be advertised for two weeks for bids. No disclosure of the current bids will be made at this time. The plumbing inspector has made changes to the A bid was received for the new signage for the. Annex building from Kustom Signs in the amount of $847.00 for a single sided 4x8 sign. No additional bids were received. Kinnon Entertainment is planning on installing the sound system at the fairgrounds the week of May 15-1 19. The plan is to bore the crossing under the arena. Any concerns between meetings should be shared with Keith Sheffield and Brent Wellik. Discussion was held on the road routes and crossing into Lincoln County. Kelly Alvarez reported that the Bronco Plains II permit conditions have been met. The documents of all the permits and conditions were: returned to the Clerk & Recorder's office for filing. The City of] Burlington is required to have a comprehensive plan and a 3-mile plan with the county to apply for DOLA grants. The public hearing process would be different and possibly slow down the county Land Use processes in the 3-mile area. The agreement will be reviewed during the next week to be discussed in detail at the next meeting. BUSINESS MEETING: 3:20 PM 1.
