Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 8:35. See the Board ofH Human Services Agenda and Minutes The Treasurer's 2024 Budget was presented and reviewed. 10:00 AM-. Jennifer Gribble - DHS 10:30 AM - Pam Mills - Treasurer Budget 11:00 AM-Jeff Cure - County Attorney A reply from the latest CORA requested a quote on the fees. Jeff will respond stating that there was research done but the county does not have information available pertaining to the request. The executed letter agreement with Solarstone was received. An update was given on the Longhorn situation. The resolution is ready for the county roads but working on a way to get a hard copy of the map. Note: The county attorney cancelled his meeting for next week. 12:00 PM-Lunch The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:00 PM returning at 1:00 PM. Those present for the afternoon session were Cory Wall, Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan Corliss. 1:00 PM-Jo Downey - KCC Carousel -] Phone in An explanation oft the money process for the Carousel was given. The option to use credit cards has resulted in about half of the gift shop sales. Discussion on the accounting and continued work that Paulette Thompson does for the Kit Carson County Carousel Association was held. Jo Downey will talk with her about future options, since the business activities will no longer be part of the Eastern Colorado Council of Government office in 2024. The amusement park ride inspector was new this year; they felt he did a good job. 20230913 Board of County Commissioners- - Minutes Page 1 of5 2:00 PM- Collin Koop - Grounds & Building Update Discussion on the HVAC upgrade at the courthouse included startingi in early October. The four to five person crew will be working three 12 hour days (Tuesday through Thursday); the crew will need to have background checks. The employee door access cards will be discussed with Sheriff Belden. The project is planned to be completed in two months. 2:30 PM-Todd Holmes - Great Copier Agreement The agreement with Great Copier Service had been signed and the copier/printers were delivered last week. All equipment will be serviced by GCS. The internet service fort the county is with PlainsTel and has a roll-over to Vyve. The cellphone package has 55 devicesi including cellphones and Mifis. The group texting issues seem to have been resolved. BUSINESS MEETING: 2:58 PM 1. Review and Approve Consent Agenda Items 1.A Approve minutes for the September 6th - BOCC & PH, and Accounts Payable Dave Hornung moved to approve the September 6th minutes for Board of County Commissioners and Board ofPublic Health and toj pay the Accounts Payable int the amount of $143,942.11 this total includes a hand check or ACH for Wex in the amount of $1,257.02, seconded by Stan Hitchcock. New Items 2.A Great Copier Rental Agreement-IT Stan Hitchcock moved to approve and authorize the signing of the Great Copier Service rental agreement for 14 copiers/printers for Kit Carson County offices including Admin, Assessor, Clerk/Elections, EMS, Extension, and' Treasurer that will be maintained and serviced by GCS for 63 months at $2,059.85 per month, seconded by Dave Hornung. 2.B CCI Declaration of Designee - Voting authority 2024 Legislative Priorities - Admin The motion passed by unanimous vote by Cory Wall. The Colorado Counties, Inc. will have their first Legislative Committee meeting on Dave Hornung moved to appoint Stan Hitchcock to the CCI Legislative Committee with Dave Hornung as the alternate, seconded by Stan Hitchcock. Stan Hitchcock moved to confirm the 2024 Employer Options for the existing plan HDHP2500 insurance noting a 15% increase for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life with Employer "Choice" and Employer Paid, seconded by Dave Hornung.
