BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES NOVEMBER 8, 2023 The KCCBOCC -] Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00. AM. Those present were. Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Susan Corliss, Theresa Korbelik. In-Person Schedule- - Commissioners Board Room 8:00 AM-Pre-Department Head Meeting Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge of Allegiance Thej pledge was recited at the Department Head meeting. 9:30 AM- Collin Koop Grounds & Building Update 8:30 AM-] Department Head Meeting. Hosted by DHS Director. Jennifer Gribble See the Department Head Minutes. Discussion continued on purchasing rides for the carnival with renting a generator forp power but there would still need to be electrical done. Banner sponsors on rides or a full sponsorship would be considered. After learning about how the carnival is run in Goodland, 7 rides (3 rides for teens and 4 rides for little kids) that probably would need 10 people to run plus the ticket booth. From the Facebook poll it looks like there is support from the community. Other ideas from the Colorado Fair and Shows Conference were a drone show and pig races. It was noted that the conference table needs to be refinished. 10:30 AM- Valerie Boyd - Department of] Public Health 11:00 AM-J Jeff Cure - County Attorney See the Board ofPublic Health Agenda Abbey asked him to draw up an abatement agreement after reviewing the property and a lower assess value was agreed upon. The ambulance Billing Contracts were reviewed and discussed. Thei new contract has ai few items that will bej presented for possible changes. Jeffv will attend the 1:00j p.m. to continue the discussion. 12:00 PM-Lunch The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:00 PM returning at 1:00 PM. Those present for the afternoon session were Cory Wall, Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Jeff Cure, Heather Morris, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan Corliss. 1:00 PM-I Heather Morris Ambulance Explanation of how Quad billing is currently billing. There is no way for Heather to see what the amount is billed for runs. Reports are only given for requests by the auditor. Jeff and Theresa will contact Quad billing and report at the next meeting. Updates were given on a possible Reserve for Stratton and full-time staff. State Certification of ambulances will begin inJ July. Certification will continue with county renewal in January as usual. 2:00 PM- Sheriff. Belden - Patrol OT Updates on staffing were given and a general report on the department.
