KCCBOCC - BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MINUTES JANUARY 9, 2024 The KCCBOCC - Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 9:50. AM due to the weather delayed start. Those present were Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Susan Corliss, and Theresa Korbelik. In-Person Schedule - Commissioners Board Room AM-Wes-aDibyd start for the day to 10:00 AM Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 10:07 AM during the Department Heads Meeting. 10:00 AM-] Department Head Meeting - Hosted by Grounds & Buildings Collin Koop Reorganization of the County - bring your copy of Reorg - See the Department Heads minutes. 11:00 AM-Jeff Cure - County Attorney Canceled the meeting. 11:30 AM-I Heather Morris - Responder Manual In-person session was canceled. 12:00 PM-Lunch The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:15 PM returning at 1:001 PM. Those present for the afternoon session were Cory Wall, Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Todd Holmes, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan Corliss. 1:00 PM-7 Todd Holmes - ADA Compliance Contract Discussion was held on the website ADA 508 Compliance by June 1st. Codemantra can provide the process PDF documents to meet the rules. All current PDFS will need to be processed with an estimate of 500 documents. The contract is a three-year contract for 500 documents per year. It was decided to request 200 documents per year after the first year. Dispatch has requested an additional phone line in their room; a contract with Vyve was presented. An explanation was given on how the DHS State computers are on the Kit Carson County network and then access the State systems. 1:30 PM - Collin Koop - Grounds & Buildings An update of the carnival rides was given. Four rides Turtle Train, F1 Car Rides, CAT Bulldozer, and a Kiddie Swing will be coming from Texas for a cost of $43,000. The Tempest, Tubs of Fun, and Whale Ride will cost $ 35,000. Tip-Top and Tilt a Whirl will cost $55,000. The last two possible items are a Funhouse and Hammer game. The plan is tol have them ready for inspection before Memorial Day while the inspector is here to do the carousel. A walk through of the courthouse was done for the camera bid with Greeley Lock and Key; it may change the initial bid. One bid was received for the fumigation of the buildings and fairgrounds from AJ Pest Control. 2:00 PM - Abbey Mullis- Value West Contract Stan Hitchcock moved to authorize signing the Professional Services Agreement between the KCC Assessor and ValueWest in the amount of $2,650.00 per month not to exceed $31,800.00 for the reappraisal of commercial property in Kit Carson County from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, seconded by Cory Wall. Contract- Bad Debt Collection Services. - Ambulance Cory Wall moved to authorize signing the Grant Mercantile Agency Inc. contract to provide bad debit collection services for the Kit Carson County Ambulance Service at a rate of13%1 to 38% depending on date of collection following assignment effective.
