BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS  MINUTES MAY15, 2024  The Board of County Commissioners meeting began in work session at 8:00 AM. Those present were Cory Wall, Stan Hitchcock, Dave Hornung, Susan Corliss, and Theresa Korbelik.  In-Person Schedule - Commissioners Board Room 9:00 AM- Travis Belden Jail New Hire  8:00 AM - Work Session  An application for the Jail was reviewed; the hiring process will continue. Staff updates included possible changes in the. Jail with a couple employees going tot the academy. All changes will be beneficial to the department. Detailing oft the patrol vehicles is scheduled for August. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at 9:00 AM. Those present were Dave Hornung, Stan Hitchcock, Cory Wall, Jenn Gribble, Carley Lane, Kristi Janousek, Theresa Korbelik, and Susan  Commissioner Meeting to convene with Pledge of Allegiance  Corliss.  9:30 AM-I DHS- - Monthly Financials  See the Department ofHuman Services agenda and minutes. 10:30 AM- Collin Koop - Grounds & Buildings  Ruben Rodriguez: asked if anything needs to be done with the Planning Commission since he has reopened the Horse Motel. HVAC will have repairs done in the Clerk & Recorder's Office next week. Chris will be here to do a walk through on remaining items that need to be done. The shunts still need to be installed. The sprinklers on the courthouse lawn have been  repaired following the damage during the cement work. 11:00 AM-Jeff Cure - County Attorney  Updates were given on the Viero cabling project that has been granted Road Easements, including a portion that is only a track road. Communication has been started between the landowner and Viaero. The Certificate of Trust for the transfer site is ready to be signed and recorded. Advertisement for the sale oft the property should be possible soon. There have been changes in the Tax Sale process. He has offered to help the Treasurer work through these  changes. 12:00 PM-Lunch  The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 12:00 PM returning at 1:00 PM. Heads, PH & DHS and Accounts  Payable  Stan Hitchcock moved to approve the May 8th minutes for Board of County Commissioners, Deparement Heads, Board of Public Health, and Board of Human Services, and to pay the Accounts Payable in the amount of $307,235.96, seconded by  Cory Wall. The motion passed by unanimous vote by Dave Hornung.  2. New Items  2.A KC Electric Director Ballot - Administration  Completed and ready to return.  2.B SpecialTransportation Permit - Global Specialized Services. Administration  Cory Wall moved to approve Special Transportation Permit for Global Specialized Services to haul a windmill blade from Highway 24 turning on County Road 591 to County Road DD onl May 10, 2024, seconded by Stan Hitchcock. The motion passed by unanimous 2.C Special' Transportation Permit - BP Express DBA BPX Logistics - Administration Stan Hitchcock moved to approve Special Transportation Permits for BP Express DBA BPX Logistics to haul a windmill blade from Highway 24 turning on County Road 54 to County Road Z on) May 13,2024 and ai return load ofa windmill blade down County Road 54 to Hwy 24 and Rose Avenue on May 16, 2024, seconded by Cory Wall.
