March 29, 2024 ARCHULETA COUNTY PROCEEDINGS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS The Board of County Commissioners held a Special Meeting on March 29, 2024, with County Commissioners Ronnie Maez and Warren Brown, County Manager Derek Woodman and County Vice-Chairman Maezcalled the special meeting to order at 7:32 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance Clerk and Recorder Kristy Archuleta present. and a moment of silence. New Business A. Consideration and Approval of Grant Agreement with the Pagosa Springs Community Derek Woodman, County Manager, stated the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation had applied for multiple grants to assist in the funding for its Affordable Workforce Housing Project. This agenda item was for the Board of County Commissioners to award a grant tothel Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation int the amount of$300,000 tol be used to cover unanticipated costs, budget overruns and other unforeseen circumstances that exceed the current funding available for the project. Commissioner Brown moved to approve a Grant Agreement with the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation in the amount of $300,000 as presented. Commissioner Maez seconded the motion and it carried B. Consideration of Resolution 025Appropriating Additional Sums ofMoney to Defray Derek Woodman, County Manager, presented a resolution dedicating $300,000 of Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF) money received in 2023 to the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation grant award. Commissioner Brown moved to adopt Resolution 2024-25 appropriating additional sums of money to defray expenses in excess of amounts budgeted as presented. Commissioner Maez seconded the motion and it carried C. Consideration and Approval of a Letter of Commitment for the Pagosa Springs Derek Woodman, County Manager, presented al letter to the Colorado Department ofLocal Affairs Division of Housing providing the Board of County Commissioners commitment to the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation's Affordable Workforce Housing Project in the form ofa $300,000 contingency grant. Commissioner Brown moved to approve a letter to the Department of Local Affairs Division of Housing committing $300,000 grant award to the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation as presented.
