Davis, MMC City Clerk Minutes of the Fowler Recreation Commission Meeting October 8, 2019 Commissioner Jones called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Commissioners present: Commissioners absent: Also, present: Patric Jones, Willie Parker, Monique Lopez, Joe Alvarez, Roy Alatorre Sonia Brum and Henrietta Martin, Recreation Coordinator Yvonne Hernandez, Fire Chief Manuel Lopez, and City Council Representative Leonard Hammer PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS APPROVAL OF MINUTES None. Commissioner Parker made ai motion to approve the Minutes from the April 9, 2019 meeting seconded by Commissioner Alvarez. The motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS: was received. previous years. The Fowlers Fabulous 4th ofJuly event was a success. Attendance was up and positive feedback The Tour de Fresno event went well. Fowler was the first stop. There not as many riders as UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Trunk or Treat Event will bel held on October 30, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Commissioners are scheduled to show up to help and direct people at 2:00 p.m. Streets will be closed from 2nd St.to Children's Shopping Day Event will be held on December 14, 2019, from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Commissioners are scheduled to meet at the Senior Center at 10:00 a.m. Commissioner Parker made a motion and Commissioner Lopez seconded to approve $800.00 to be spent for this event. Christmas Tree Lighting Event will be held on December 7, 2019. Santa Claus will be there from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Commissioner Alvarez made a motion and Commissioner Parker seconded to approve $150.00 to be spent on this event. The motion carried unanimously. Entertainment will be Sonia Santana from 3:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. Commissioner Alatorre made a motion and 4thSt. The motion carried unanimously. CommissionerLopez seconded to approve $200.001 to be spend on entertainment. The motion carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Parker motioned to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Alvarez.
