Minutes of the Fowler Recreation Commission Meeting  March 9,2021  Chairman Patric Jones called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.  Commissioners Present: City StaffPresent:  Henrietta Martin, Roy Alatorre, Willie Parker, Monique Lopez, and Joe Alvarez Liaison Juan Mejia  Recreation Coordinator Yvonne Hernandez, City Council  PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS  None  APPROVAL OF MINUTES  Commissioner Parker made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2021 meeting,  seconded by Commissioner Alvarez. The motion carried unanimously.  OLD BUSINESS None  UNFINISHED BUSINESS  None NEW BUSINESS:  Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt - This event will be held on Saturday, March 27,2 2021. Public volunteer Stephanie Mejia presented a Power Point for the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. Online registration has been closed earlier than expected due to capacity of participants that reached 125 registered families. There will 16 Easter Egg Scavenge Hunt stops/stations. Egg filling dates were discussed. Goodie bag drive-thru distribution set to take place on March 26, the day prior to event. Commissioners will be Fabulous 4th ofJuly Fireworks Show- Tentatively planning to set up 2 firework show sites. An invitation will be extended to food truck vendors and plan to set them scattered throughout the city. A possible advertisement on radio station KKDJ for this event was discussed.  designated a stop on day of event.
