TOWN OF LIMON BOARD OF TRUSTEES Regular Meeting June 3, 2010 Notice of this meeting was published in the Limon Leader on. June 3, 2010. Mayor Beattie called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. ROLL Town Clerk Chris Snyder called roll. Members of the Board present: Mayor Beattie; Trustees: Andersen, Hawthorne, Kelly, King, and Metcalf. Trustee Hendricks was absent. STAFF Snyder. GUESTS Staff present: Town Manager Stone, Chief of Police Yowell, Administrative Intern Hanson and Town Clerk Wayne Shade, Terina Ensign, Michael Bass, Bob & Pat Younger, Maria Kissman, and Lynne McNichol. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES Trustee King moved to approve the minutes for May 6, 2010, as corrected; seconded by Trustee Hawthorne. Motion carried unanimously. TEN MINUTE CITIZEN INPUT Michael Bass gave an update on Plains Medical Center. LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL SOUTH SIDE Motion carried unanimously. Trustee Kelly moved to approve the liquor license renewal for South Side; seconded by Trustee Metcalf. ORDINANCE NO. 539; MORGAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE Town Manager Stone introduced and there was read in full the title of the following proposed ordinance and the entire text of said ordinance was submitted in writing to each member of the Board of Trustees and Ordinance No. 539; An Ordinance Approving the Fourth Amendment to the Lease Agreement with Morgan Community College for Use of a Portion of the Limon Memorial Library and Authorizing the Execution of Trustee Hawthorne moved to approve Ordinance No. 539; seconded by Trustee King. Voting Aye: Mayor Bandy and' Trustees Hawthorne, Kelly, King and Metcalf. Abstain: Trustee Andersen. Motion carried. Town Manager Stone introduced and there was read in full the title of the following proposed ordinance and the entire text of said ordinance was submitted in writing to each member of the Board of Trustees and Ordinance No. 540; An Ordinance Approving a Grazing Lease and Authorizing the Execution of Said the Mayor. Said Amended Lease Agreement. ORDINANCE NO. 540; GRAZING LEASE the Mayor. Lease Agreement. Regular Meeting /June 3, 2010 Page 1 Trustee King moved to approve Ordinance No. 540, with the lease to be amended; seconded by Trustee Kelly. Motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 06-10-29; SPOHN RANCH BID Town Manager Stone introduced and there was read in full the title of the following proposed resolution and the entire text of said resolution was submitted in writing to each member of the Board of Trustees and Resolution No. 06-10-29; A Resolution Approving a Bid from Spohn Ranch in Excess of $10,000 for Trustee King moved to approve Resolution No. 06-10-29; seconded by Trustee Hawthorne. He made the Board department appointments. TRUSTEES REPORT Trustee King asked about the flags at Town Hall and they will be replaced. He complimented Town Trustee Hawthorne reported about ballot issues covered at the spring outreach meeting with CML. Trustee Andersen asked about the traffic signal lights and how they are functioning. Manager Stone on the work done on the feedlot project. Trustee Metcalf asked about the mosquito spraying schedule. APPROVAL OF BILLS Trustee Hawthorne moved to approve the bills that were submitted for the month of May; seconded by Trustee Kelly. Motion carried unanimously.
