TOWN OF LIMON BOARD OF TRUSTEES Special Meeting August 18, 2010  Notice of this meeting was posted at Town Hall on August 16, 2010. Mayor Beattie called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  ROLL  Town Clerk Chris Snyder called roll. Members of the Board present: Mayor Beattie; Trustees: Andersen,  Hawthorne, Hendricks, Kelly, King, and Metcalf.  STAFF  Staff present: Town Manager Stone, Assistant Manager Kiely, Attorney Kimble, Chief of Police Yowell,  Administrative Intern Hanson and Town Clerk Snyder.  GUESTS Joe Brewer.  SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT FOR LIMON ROTARY  Trustee King moved to approve the special events permit for Limon Rotary; seconded by Trustee Andersen. Voting Aye: Mayor Beattie, Trustees Andersen, Hawthorne, Hendricks, King and Metcalf.  Abstain: Trustee Kelly. Motion carried. INITIATIVE ORDINANCE NO. 2010-1 AND: 2010-1A  Assistant Manager Kiely introduced and there was read in full the title of the following proposed ordinance and the entire text of said ordinance was submitted in writing to each member of the Board of Trustees and Initiative Ordinance No. 2010-1; Ordinance Amending the Municipal Code of the Town of Limon Adopted by Ordinance 371 by Amending Chapter 723 - Sales and Use Tax, Sections 723.3 = Sales Tax Levied, 723.5.2, 723.7 Sales Tax - Credit for Sales or Use Taxes Previously Paid to Another Municipality, 723.12 - Use Tax Credit for Sales or Use Taxes Previously Paid to another Municipality, 723-13 Motor and Other Vehicle Use Tax Collection and Adding Section 723.3.1 - Establishment of a Recreation  the Mayor.  and' Wellness Facilities Fund Pursuant to Citizen Initiative No. 2010-1.  No action taken.  Trustee King moved based on the requirement of 31-11-104 to publish the ordinance and refer the initiative ordinance to the voters at the election on November 2"d, seconded by Trustee Hawthorne. Motion  carried unanimously.  RESOLUTION NO. 08-10-37; INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT  Town Manager Stone introduced and there was read in full the title of the following proposed resolution and the entire text of said resolution was submitted in writing to each member of the Board of Trustees and Resolution No. 08-10-37; A Resolution Approving Intergovernmental Agreement to Coordinate Election Trustee Hendricks moved to approve Resolution No. 08-10-37; seconded by Trustee Hawthorne.
