A PLANNING GRANT FROM THE GARFIELD COUNTY FEDERAL MINERALI LEASE DISTRICT FOR FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS AND RENOVATIONS TOTOWN OF CARBONDALE CHACOS! PARK WHEREAS: The Town of Carbondale is aj political subdivision oft the State of Colorado, and therefore an eligible applicant for the grant awarded by the Garfield County Federal Mineral Lease! District ("GCFMLD");and WHEREAS: The Town ofCarbondalel has submitted aj planning grant application for professional consultation of ap public park improvements and renovation project for the following municipal park lands: Chaços Park, WHIEREAS: The Town ofCarbondale supports the planning oft the future Chacos Park improvement and NOW, THEREFORE BE ITI RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF CARBONDALETHAT: 1. The above recitals are hereby incorporated as findings by the Board of Trustees of the Town of 2. The Board ofTrustees oft the Town ofCarbondale strongly supports the Grant Application submitted by the Town of Carbondale for a grant with Garfield County Federal Mineral Lease District. 3. Ifthe grant is awarded, the Board of Trustees of the" Town ofCarbondale strongly supports the planning process toi identify and fund future improvement and renovations to the Chacos park. 4. Thel Board ofTrustees ofthe" Town of Carbondale authorizes the expenditure ofany funds necessary to meet the terms and obligations ofa grant awarded pursuant to a Grant Agreement with the GCFMLD. 5. The project sites are owned by the Town ofCarbondale and will be owned by the Town ofCarbondale for the next 25 years. Thel Board ofTrustees oft the Town of Carbondale will continue to maintain the municipal park lands in al high-quality condition and will appropriate needed funds for maintenance 6. Ifag grant is awarded, the Board ofTrustees of the Town of Carbondale hereby authorizes the Mayor to  requesting a total award of$15,000.00 from GCFMLD; and renovation planning document ifa grant is awarded by the GCFMLD.  Carbondale.  annually.  sign a Grant Agreement with the GCFMLD.  The effective date of this Resolution is the date passed and approved below.
