October 24, 2017 The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, October 24, 2017. The following members were present: Mark Blankenship, Chairman; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am on October 24, 2017. Commissioner Gary Three Charles' W. Gary; and District Four Commissioner Frankie Wilson. opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wilson followed with prayer. APPROVED- - MINUTES - October 24, 2017 REGULAR: SESSION Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 24, 2017 meeting. With changes being made int the minutes to reflect amending of budget for Road & Bridge Dump Truck and Financing of Dump Truck. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED-1 TRAVEL REQUEST Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve travel request for: Commission Office - ACCA Legislative Conference - December 6-7, 2017 - Florence, Al. Road & Bridge Dept. - ACCA Legislative Conference - December 6-7, 2017 - Florence, Al. $ 5262.00. $375.00. CommissionerwVison seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED- DALE COUNTY HRI BOARDAPPONIMENIS Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve re-appointing Mrs. Marie Black and Mr. James Cheshire tot the Dale County Human Resource Board. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED- ROAD & BRIDGE MAINTENANCE Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the Dale County Road & Bridge Maintenance map. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, andi it carried unanimously. APPROVED- = ROAD & BRIDGE-2SUPERCAB TRUCKS Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve the purchase of (2) Ford F-150 Super cab $26,666.00 each in the Road & Bridge Dept. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve opening the Dale County Landfill on December 18, 2017. APPROVED- OPEN LANDFILL 12-18-2017 Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the resurfacing ofCo. Rd. 515. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED- - MOVING DATESFORCOMMSSION MEETINGS APPROVED-F RABRESURFACING CORD515 Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve the Commission meetings during the Holiday season. The dates of meetings will be on November 14h, December 5th and December 19th. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED - APPRAISAL DEPARTMENT = PURCHASE TRUCK Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the purchase of new truck 2018 Ford F150 Crew Cab 4x4 for $27,041.00. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. October 24, 2017 APPROVED- = ROAD & BRIDGE DAMAGE CLAIM Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve paying the difference in Mr. Mike Stough's Dale County water bill due to damage to Mr. Stough's water line while R&B tractors were cutting grass on Co Rd. 21. APPROVED- - BILL TOBE INTRODUCED IN THE 2018 REGULAR SESSION OF ALABAMA Commissioner Wilson made a motion to introduce int the 2018 Regular Session of the Legislature of Alabama for two, Dale County bill drafts. (1) Relating to Sunday alcohol sales after 1:00 p.m. and (2) On- premises consumption outside the corporate limits of any municipality to be approved by the County Commission. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. APPROVED-MEMORANDUM OF WARRANTS Commissioner Wilson made ai motion to approve the memorandum of warrants. (Payroll check number(s) 154420 154424, Payroll direct deposit numbers 25208-25347, and Accounts Payable check numbers 77914-78062). Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT REGULAR MEETING Chairman Blankenship announced that the next regular meeting of the Dale County Commission would be Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. and a work meeting November 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. ADJOURNMENTE CONFIRMATORY STATEMENT Commissioner Gary made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
